How Far Along? 28 weeks and 2 days. Time is running so short! I have like eight weeks to get my entire life cleaned and organized and ready for me to go MIA, out of my mind, and useless for at least 6 weeks. It can be a little overwhelming - and I definitely understand my pregnancy app saying that occasionally I will feel like I'm on a runaway train.
Baby Size: Somewhere around 16-17 inches long and around 3lbs!
Total Weight Gain: Last check we were at 20 lbs up. Next doctors appointment is Wednesday so we'll be able to see how much we've gained.
Maternity Clothes: I am so tired of those waste bands that come up to my boobs. It's too hot for that junk. Plus, all of the bands are starting to get too tight and cut my belly in half. All of my maternity pants are skinny legs. I am so tired of everything being SO TIGHT... especially on my legs! I hate them being so close to my skin... and ALL OF THE MATERNITY PANTS I FIND ARE SKINNIES!! GRR!
Stretch Marks: Nothing yet... but I had a freak out over the weekend. I found a picture a lady posted on one of the pregnancy forums. (WHY do I read those things?! Every time that I read them, something makes me worry.) She said that her stretch marks didn't start until 33 weeks and didn't stop...
Best moment this week: Getting to spend the weekend with my sister. She was such a big help. I really needed her. For the first time, in a REALLY long time, my laundry is completely caught up.
Miss Anything? My normal clothes - especially my jeans. Not being sweaty 100% of the time. Food that is on the do-not-eat list. Not having heartburn. Energy. Not being a little extra super sensitive and crazy. Not bumping into everything with my belly. Not feeling so clueless, clumsy, vulnerable, slightly useless. Sorry... I know I sound miserable right now. I really love my baby and I love feeling and seeing her wiggle while I write this... but the heat, the sweat, and the time crunch is getting to me. Have I mentioned that August is my least favorite month?
Movement: Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. She really likes my ribs... It's so strange to feel her stretch out and push against my belly.
Food Cravings: Sweets (What's new?) and "Real Food." I like Chocolate Milk and Fried Egg Sandwiches.
Anything making you queasy or sick: It comes and goes. Today, I tried to eat a small bag of Cheetos and it started to turn my stomach. Still don't really like greasy foods.
Started to show yet? Yep! Though there is constant debate on whether or not I'm huge or really small.
Gender: Girl!
Belly Button in or out? Let's put it this way, on Sunday, my sister told me "I can see you belly button through your dress!"
Wedding Rings on or off? On.
Weird Pregnancy Stuff? I'm super emotional. (Ben's getting used to all of the random crying and super clingy-ness. He's handling it like a champ!)
I get overwhelmed easily when I think about everything that I need to do and get done.
My hair is still falling out.
I'm sweating 110% of the day.
I told Mattie today that I feel like a lazy person, but sometimes I do deskwork so that I can sit on my butt because the more I walk around, the more I have to pee.
I try to avoid drinking too much before bed, because it is REALLY hard to get out of the bed. I have to roll, scoot, and drag myself out of the bed. Who knew that could be so hard?
Putting my socks and shoes on has become very difficult.
Maybe it's the heat, but I swell more now. (That makes the heat, tight clothes, and sweat SOOOO much more enjoyable.)
I have freaky dreams... and I talk more in my sleep. The other night Ben and I had the following conversation:
Me: What has that man got in his hands?
Ben: I don't know babe.
Me: Looks like he has a bunch of blinds.
He said that he tried to get more out of me, but I wouldn't tell him anything else.
Looking forward to: Next time I get to see my baby... and then getting to hold her!
You are just about there!! Hang on because the last 10 weeks fly by! I remember being so sick of everything being so tight also . . and just HOT all of the time. And it was the dead of winter! Try some pasta salads and chicken salad if you like to eat those things. Those were my constant go to's. Hope you have a great day!
