That's what's for dinner tonight.
(and probably for lunch tomorrow.)
It's been so busy lately. Ben and I have felt like we haven't had a good rest-filled weekend alone in months. The weekend is our time together, but its also our time to get things done. Lately, instead of being the bums that we like to be, we've been cutting the grass, cleaning the house, breaking the horse, etc.
I was really starting to feel it this morning. (maybe it doesn't help that I'm trying to cut back on my coffee intake...) I was TIRED. So, I started thinking about where we could run away to for a weekend on a budget. When I came home at lunch, I talked to him about it and he thought it sounded like a great idea too.
We're running away soon.
(Even if it means borrowing a tent and sleeping on the ground for a weekend.)
When I got home from work, I fed Gabby and talked to her little bit - and then I started cooking.
Somehow cooking has relieved a little bit of the stress.
Now... time to chow down.
...and maybe make some brownies.

Oh how embarrassing...
Okay, so I haven't updated in a while... a long while... a long, long, long while... (I know that at least my Mom misses reading my posts hahaha.)
I would like to take a moment and say just how much I LOVE MY JOB! I have been very blessed. I'm learning so much, I get to be creative, I get coffee every morning (I've gotten addicted to my one cup.) and everyone treats me so wonderfully. (Is wonderfully a word???)
My house-keeping hasn't improved much... and learning to juggle a full time job, a husband, and house is interesting - the house usually gets the short end of the stick... BUT Ben's hours have now been cut back to 40 so I've actually got a man around the house! (Most people think that 40 hours is a lot of time - well, average - to work... but it's nothing compared to the 72 hours he was working.) I'm so glad I get to see his face now. Plus he helps out with the housework and makes my lunch. He's so sweet - all the more reason to spend my time at home with him being lazy than washing clothes.
Kitty and Kitty are doing well - smashing and squishing my flowers as always. (They've brought white kitty around so much that she doesn't even run away when I open the door.)
I'm trying to be a little more healthy. Cut back on the snacks... exercise a little (notice that I said: a little.)
That's really all that I can think of for right now. I just wanted to say "I'm alive!" and I haven't forgotten about you, little blog.
Well, I'll leave you with a random fact. I always get creeped out by the noises that my dishwasher makes when I run it at night. Even though I know this to be true, I always run my dishwasher at night.
Love always,
(and hopefully more blogs in the future...)
